About us:

With the ever increasing number of technological instrumentals and virtual devices, music and sound play a more critical role than ever for providing emotional depth and user feedback. Diverse music and high sound quality are important factors in distinguishing your production from others. Steady Sound was created to fulfill the sonic needs of the new generation of artists and filmmakers. Oliver Small is the founder and president of Steady Sound Incorporated, as well as the composer and producer of all music offered for sale on the site. He has been writing and producing for the last seven years and has worked with a number of other young Canadian artists including various singers, rappers and other producers. You can contact Oliver personally at Oli@SteadySound.com.

Terms of Agreement: In all cases: Any buyer is subject to the terms of agreement listed below. In a film or CD release containing a work from this site, “Oliver Small” must be visible in the description of the music for that particular song or film. Steady Sound must be contacted via email (Oli@SteadySound.com) if this occurs. No refunds can be given once a sale has been made.

Non-Exclusive Sales:

Buying non-exclusively allows the buyer to broadcast a track, record over it or perform it in public. In all cases the buyer can use a purchased instrumental for CD, film or other commercial use that will release no more than 2,000 copies. If sales exceed, or are planned to exceed 2,000 copies, the buyer must buy the song exclusively. Once the buyer has purchased the product it will remain on the website available for sale.

Buying exclusively allows the buyer to broadcast an instrumental, record over it or perform in public. In all cases the buyer can use a purchased instrumental for CD, film or other commercial use with an unlimited number of releases. Once the buyer has purchased the product it will not be sold again exclusively or non-exclusively. It may remain on the website for promotional reasons.

FAQs:

Why are certain songs more expensive than others?

Our songs are priced according to how much work has been done for the user For example, some of the rap beats are very basic and allow the artist to set up their own song structure with their lyrics. These instrumentals generally take less time to produce and therefore cost less. Other projects take months to compose and produce, and are fully completed for the user. These obviously cost more.

What is the difference between buying exclusively and buying non exclusively?

Please read the terms of agreement. Buying none exclusively allows you to sell no more than 10,000 copies of the song while buying none exclusively allows you to sell an unlimited number.

I need the chorus or the verse of a song to be shorter or longer to match my lyrics, can you do this?

Yes, but any changes must be requested before the sale of the song. Certain sections can be lengthened or shortened. Sounds or tracks, such as baselines, can usually be taken out as well.

Can I request a customized instrumental?

Yes. Contact us.

Can I take a sample from one of your songs and use it for my own production?

No. Songs on the website are owned exclusively by Oliver Small until sold.

Music Section of the Website

Welcome to Steady Sound’s music section. Any section of an instrumental may be lengthened, shortened or taken out to match a set of lyrics, or match a certain scene. Specific sounds may also be taken out or tweaked. Most compositions made for artists follow a song structure (including intro, verse, chorus, bridge etc…), though there are several instrumentals that are looped over one section (i.e. just a beat). Remember that all tracks are a showcase of Oliver Small’s work and users are welcome to request a specific instrumental by contacting us.
